The Hypocrisy On LibyaFriday, Oct. 21, 2011 4:56 AMPresident Obama remarked on the death of Moammar Qaddafi by lauding the Libyan people for rising up and resisting the dictator. Occupy Wall Street. ::: crickets ::: We're not talking about mugging the rich to fund the poor; we're talking domestic jobs, instead of downsizing and outsourcing. We're talking about sensible regulation to protect people and the environment. We're talking about banks foreclosing on people while receiving taxpayer largesse because they're 'too big to fail.' Yasser Arafat once said, "I come bearing an olive branch in one hand, and a machine gun in the other. Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand." Neither the protesters nor Wall Street are in a position to effect radical change. It is therefore the job of people, through our elected representatives, to mediate and arrive at a solution acceptable to both parties. Before we become the next Libya.
