Republicans & Hurricanes

Monday, Sept. 01, 2008 4:07 AM

With Hurricane Gustav slated to make landfall between Texas and Louisiana, it's expected the Republican National Convention will convene with a sharply abbreviated schedule - basically the opening gavel and recognizing convention officials.

Neither President Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney are scheduled to appear.

While it was FOX News' Steve Doocy who suggested that Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin has national security expertise by way of Alaska's proximity to Russia, Cindy McCain repeated this laughable assertion during an interview with ABC's George Stephanopolous.

John McCain owns eight houses. Sarah Palin owns three.

But Barack Obama is the elitist. And Cindy McCain thinks Obama was being mean for criticizing her husband about not knowing how many homes he owns.
