Credit LimitFriday, Sept. 03, 2010 4:04 AMYesterday's dental drama wasn't anything I expected. Nothing cracked, nothing falling out. Somehow, in the course of an off-kilter bite, I'd managed to mung the finish on my bridge. A little touch-up work by the dentist, and we're right as rain. So conservatives feel President Obama's speech on Tuesday night didn't give enough credit to that brave crusader for freedom, President George W. Bush, because the Surge Was All His Idea In The First Place. Reality Check, please. Not only did George W. Bush and his merry band launch us into a war on false pretenses, let's remember SecDef Donald Rumsfeld tried to do the job on the cheap. Credit for the surge? Sorry, no, you don't get credit for doing something four years and several thousand dead soldiers too late.
