Last week, the FBI released 'age-progressed' composite photos showing what Osama bin Laden might look like nearly a decade after 9/11.

Unfortunately, some genius at the Bureau decided to use a Googled image of Gaspar Llamazares, a member of Spain's Parliament as an 'older' bin Laden.

Senor Llamazares is, shall we say, a tad upset ...

As last week ended, we began hearing reports of 'looting' in the wake of the Haiti earthquake.

I think that's a loaded word and being used inappropriately. There's no Wal-Mart in Haiti, no commercial excess. We're not seeing people trundle off with designer clothes and big-screen TVs.

We're seeing them grab and fight over food and potable water.

I'm not entirely sure we comprehend the desperation and need being felt by the Haitian people. We live in a world of convenient and accessible plenty, and even a major quake like 1989's Loma Prieta did not destroy our infrastructure and leave us with the dying and injured in the streets.
