Hopefully the day is more meaningful than a speed bump on the way to Black Friday. Anonymous hackers have made available a series of e-mails that purportedly show a conspiracy to misrepresent climate data ... and thus, the ready conclusion is that Global Warming Is A Hoax. Blame Al Gore. Blame the Liberals. And, of course, it's Obama's fault, because he's off to Copenhagen to sell us out or something. The irony, of course, is that when things like the Downing Street Memo (Iraq) was leaked, there was nothing but chirping crickets from conservatives. To suggest that George W. Bush and Tony Blair lied was akin to treason. There was no investigation, no pause to consider, no rethinking of policy. But conservatives like Sen. James 'God Will Clean Up Our Mess' Inhofe are calling for an investigation into the International Panel on Climate Change. The debate on global warming aside, I still want to know why America isn't leading the way in developing alternatives to fossil fuels. Develop it, stamp it MADE IN AMERICA, and make people come to us. There's no reason we should be sucking hind teat again.
