More Bonuses?

Friday, Jul. 10, 2009 3:40 AM

AIG wants to reward its executives with millions of dollars in additional bonuses - beyond those that have already been handed out for 'performance' and 'retention.'

The White House needs to grow a pair, slap Tim Geithner up the backside of his dodgy-eyed head, and say NO.

That's no longer AIG's money, it's the taxpayers' money via TARP. And we're already paying banks interest on the money we loaned them to loan us, while there's absolutely no talk of that industry paying us back in any form.

In the meantime, when conservatives complain we should have given the money to 'private industry,' what, exactly, do you think AIG and Goldman Sachs are? Mom-and-pop stores?

A photo from the G-8 Summit, purporting to show President Obama casting an appreciative gaze at the backside of a woman walking past him is like most of the stuff you can find on the internet: crap.

If you watch the video of the same moment, Obama turns and is offering his hand to another woman standing behind and to his right. His head does not follow the woman in the red dress, but remains attentive and focused on the woman he is offering his hand to, to make sure she has safely navigated the step down.
