Give It UpMonday, Feb. 23, 2009 3:48 AMGovernor Arnold Schwarzenegger has a great answer for other Republican governors who are whinging about taking Stimulus funding: California will take it if you don't want it. Don't forget that the Stimulus bill had a little political gamesmanship added in, so that Republican governors can piss and moan and object ... and then get overridden by their own legislatures and get the money anyway. Meanwhile, the California GOP has decided to reprimand the six state legislators who crossed party lines to vote for the recently-passed budget, because it includes tax increases, and that's against the whole 'no tax' mantra they have going. Not much else to say, really. Of the Oscar-nominated films, I only caught The Dark Knight and Milk, so I think the two awards there were well-deserved.
