Would that be anything like the 'full support' that Donald Rumsfeld enjoyed prior to his replacement? The image of Bush using Gonzales as a human shield comes to mind for some reason. He'll support Gonzales as long as Gonzales is taking the heat and the consequences for the Responsibility President. Should Gonzales be compelled to step down, I can't wait for the fun that will ensue as Bush nominates his next Attorney General and members of Congress and the Senate promptly return to their default of, "The president deserves counsel he can trust." The track record for that bit of nonsense is self-evident. We have enabled President Bush by confirming people like Alberto � who seemingly doesn't even know what the Constitution says � to advise the president on the most serious and grave issues, as well as carry out policy.
