Thanksgiving DayThursday, Nov. 23, 2006 8:18 AMOn a day on which our focus is supposed to be the expression of gratitude for the many and varied blessings which we may find in our lives, we should not forget those for whom those blessings may seem distant or less plentiful than most. Please take time this holiday season to donate to a food bank ��most grocery chains either have barrels or offer pre-packaged bags for a modest cost. Also, having noticed a certain desperation in the air in parking lots and the roadways yesterday, please take a deep breath and slow down. No demands of family or the season will be made easier by being unnecessarily rude to others, nor is the importance of the occasion well-served by such behaviors. Blessings of prosperity and peace upon you and your loved ones, and for all those suffering from hunger on this Thanksgiving Day.
