Airsoft Tragedy

Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 4:02 PM

It's sad to hear about the Florida teenager who was cornered and shot by police in a school restroom.

Christopher Penley's gun turned out to be a realistic-looking pellet gun.

It is being reported that Christopher's father had gone to the school to try and talk to his son ... and was denied entrance. SWAT team members apparently were not told of the possibility that Christopher's gun was a pellet gun until after he'd been fatally shot.

One distraught student voiced her fear of going back to school; her mother said, "They should not fear having to go to school."

Tell that to Christopher. Like others before him, Christopher was described as being 'bullied.'
