Get Busy Living, Or Get Busy Dying.

On a recent episode of ABC's 'The View,' co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set after professional bloviator Bill O'Reilly asserted that 'Muslims killed us on 9/11.'

Good for them.

Yes, 3,047 people were killed in the attack. It was a horrible event.

Beyond that, the only lasting damage, the only changes wrought to this country, for good or ill, have been of our own making, whether in the climate of fear that assholes like O'Reilly pander to on a daily basis, or the mishmash of vague and draconian laws passed without a glance in the name of national security.

The same people sounding the alarm bells about America falling prey to Shari'a Law are the same ones whining about Socialism/Fascism/Secularism and any other conflated boogeyman they can grasp at to keep you cowed and afraid.

Really? When you have elected representatives giving the slightest credence to rumors that Obama is a secret Muslim plant, al-Qaeda must be laughing its collective ass off. Because you're SO afraid of the evil Muslim boogeyman, you're seeing him everywhere.

Bill O'Reilly does not deserve 'equal time' for the sake of airing a valid viewpoint - he's preaching more of the groundless, fact-free fear that is lining the pockets of him, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and other FOX News idiots.

It's time to stop listening to this gang of Lord Haw-Haw imitators.
