Cross Parishoners

Friday, Apr. 16, 2010 3:41 AM

There are parishoners at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Warr Acres, Oklahoma, who are taking issue with a new crucifix that depicts Christ Jesus in a manner they find offensive.

The artist claims she was depicting Christ's distended abdomen.

Having been raised Catholic, I'm wondering why you're thinking of certain sexual images and connotations when you're praying in church and/or regarding the image of the crucified Savior.

Here's a great observation for the Tea Party crowd: if you're concerned about taxation without representation, fill out your Census form!
