Better For Whom?

Rocketing to the fore of the Stupid Patrol is Rep. Trent Franks (R-Arizona), who mangled statistics on abortions vs. live births in the African-American community to determine that blacks were better off under slavery.

And Senator John McCain offered his opinion that DADT is working, so it shouldn't be repealed.

Working how? If it's keeping gays/lesbians 'safe' from discrimination, shouldn't the objective be putting an end to discrimination and not perpetuating an environment where one's sexual orientation needs to be hidden, under a system that is almost entirely built on stereotypes?

I mean, if we were talking about race, would the solution be to put everyone in uniforms that covered them from head-to-toe? Change everyone's name to John or Jane Doe?

I imagine it won't be long before Pat Robertson opens his gob and opines on why God laid the seismic smackdown on Chile.

Chile is 70% Roman Catholic; Haiti is 80% Roman Catholic, though half the population also practices voodoo.

Well, here it is: No Cussing Week in the State Legislature.

Now get off your goddamn asses and get to work on a fucking budget, you worthless piles of shit.

You're not going to balance the budget by collecting a few quarters.
